About The Quilt
This unusual red and white barn quilt was painted by Lynne Belluscio to be auctioned at the annual LeRoy Historical Society Dinner Auction. The pattern of the barn quilt was copied from a beautiful applique quilt in the collection of the LeRoy Historical Society which was sewn by parishioners of a local church for their minister. Hundreds of friends signed the quilt. This barn quilt hangs on a historic barn on the farm owned by several generations of the Kent family. Josh Kent who owns the farm is the grandson of Bill Kent, founder of William Kent Inc., which specializes in New York farm auctions and appraisals. The Kent family were the volunteer auctioneers for the annual LeRoy Historical Society Dinner.
