About The Quilt

This quilt pattern was chosen by a community vote as a tribute to the English (Copper) beech tree that once grew in front of the library. The tree was donated by the Woodward family in 1930 and remained a landmark in the community for nearly a century before it was removed because it was diseased. The barn quilt was donated to the library by Dr. Bruce and Nancy Baker.
