This resident's pattern was chosen because much of the Village of LeRoy is situated within the 86,000 acre Triangle Tract which was owned by the LeRoy family. The Triangle Tract extended from a point south of town up north to Lake Ontario. Jacob LeRoy came to town in 1822 and served as the land agent for his father’s firm of LeRoy, Bayard and McEvers.
