2x2 Barn Quilt – West Trail
Note: Call Farms, located on shed by road
The barn quilt was a gift from Joan and Quentin Call’s daughter, Justine and it was painted by Mandy Humphrey of LeRoy. Joan “loves the peaceful and calming colors.” The Calls live in a stone house built about 1826 by Otis Drury. The property changed hands in 1917 when Archie Call purchased the house from Fannie Drury. The house is listed in the “Genesee Architectural Heritage of Genesee County” which describes the house: “This is an unusual version of a cobblestone house as only the façade is entirely of cobblestones and the other elevations are of randomly course limestone blocks. The lintels, sills, and quoins are of cut limestone.”
