About The Quilt

8x8ft Barn Quilt - Village Trail

Note: Residence

Knights Pride #9 also hangs here

This new barn quilt design embodies the Kettle family's American and British heritage and the bright red, white, and blue colors celebrate both the USA and British flag. This new quilt replaces the former "Star of England" quilt which was in honor of Bill Kettle's parents who came to the US from England in the mid 1960's. Unfortunately, after over 10 years on the LeRoy Barn Quilt trail the quilt was removed due to wear and tear. The barn was originally part of the Woodward farm manager's property and likely dates back to the 1920's. Bill Kettle, who is involved with the local music scene, wrote a song that chronicles his parent's dream when they moved to the United States. It can be found on Bill's YouTube channel "@billkettle5490" and the name of the song is "Thank you Dad.... for living your American Dream".
